About Me:
I have been interested in photography since about age 13, when I
took my first photography class in Milpitas, CA. My older brother
gave me my first camera, an old Argus 35mm. Which I proceeded to
shoot hundreds of rolls of film over next 3 years. I bought my
first new camera in 1980, a Minolta XG-M. The equipment I
purchased that day took me through Asia, parts of Europe, Mexico,
Canada and all over the USA. I only moved from that old Minolta in
2004 when I became the official track photographer for the Pahrump
Valley Speedway and a staff photographer for the Pahrump Mirror.
At that time I purchased my first Canon digital camera. I had
swore that I would never use digital but could no longer ignore
the amazing advancements that had been made in digital over the
years. I do still shoot film with my Hasselblad 500 C/M. Mostly
for landscapes and just to have fun in the dark room.
I shot my first wedding at age 15 in 1976. It was shot with a
Nikon my mother rented for me. I worked as a freelance shooter for
several Bay Area newspapers. Shot numerous portraits for too many
people to count. Had my first images published in a book of poetry
while I was only 16 years old. Since that time I have been
published in numerous magazine, newspapers, programs and calendars |
